The Air Fighter is Born or How Warfare Changed

Considered to be the father of the U.S. Air Force; Brig. Gen. “Billy” Mitchell has been quoted as saying:

The day has passed when armies on the ground or navies on the sea can be the arbiter of a nation’s destiny in war.
The main power of the defense and the power of initiative against an enemy has passed to the air.

Attached is another “The Great War Channel” video hosted by Indy Neidell with a brief introduction to the air war of 1914 – 1918. Niedell introduces the viewer to how and why the air war developed so quickly in WWI. HERE

Take note how many airplanes from this video are represented in Rise of Flight and others that were considered instrumental in the war that are not present in the sim/game.
